What the site stores

• What you submit. Nominations and comments, and a name if you give one. Names are optional.
• A random ID in your browser. It counts one vote per browser per nominee and remembers what you reported. It is not linked to your identity.
• A scrambled form of your network address. It is used for a short time to limit spam and floods of posts. The original address is not stored.
• Your email address, if you sign up for The Weekly Oops. It is used for that newsletter only. It is never sold or shared. Ask to be removed at any time.

The site has no ads and no tracking cookies. It runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver the site. If a human check appears on a form, it is Cloudflare Turnstile. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your network address when the page loads.

These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
